Sightseeing Covered In Our Kedarnath Yatra Package from Delhi

For many of the devotees, travelling to the Kedarnath temple from Delhi is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To make this complete and meaningful, we not only visit the Kedarnath temple, but also include all the minor or major sightseeing places in Kedarnath, including:

  • Devprayag: The well-known prayag among the Panch prayags of Uttarakhand is Devprayag Sangam. Here, the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the river Ganga. This is the very first stop for sightseeing. Mixing of water from two different rivers is clearly visible here. Here we will take a short break of about 15 minutes to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful views around.

  • Dhari Devi Temple: Well known as the protector guardian of Char Dham temples, Dhari Devi Temple is our second sightseeing location. Believed to be an incarnation of Maa Kali. The upper half of Dhari Devi is worshipped here, while the lower half is at the Kalimath temple. Here we will stop for about 30 minutes, as the temple is located in the middle of the Alaknanda River, so we will take proper time to worship the goddess.

  • Rudraprayag Sangam:- Our third sightseeing for day 1 is Rudraprayag Sangam. Here we will take a short break of 15 minutes to take photos of the merging view of the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. It is the fourth confluence among the 5 Prayags in Uttarakhand.

  • Bhairavnath Temple: Bhairavnath is a revered temple located around 500 meters from the temple, believed to be the protector of this region. After having darshan at the Kedarnath temple, we will visit this temple. Believed that visiting the Kedarnath temple without visiting the Bhairavnath temple is incomplete. Bhairavnath temple at Kedarnath is also famous for the aerial view of the complete Kedar valley.

  • Bhim Shila: A most sacred stone near the Kedarnath temple, which is also known for protecting the Kedarnath temple during the flood in 2013. We will also visit the Bhim Shila, the giant stone. Many devotees also offer prayers near this temple.

  • Retas Kund: A small, sacred, and mysterious pond near the Kedarnath temple is Retas Kund. When you chant “Om” or “Om Namah Shivay”, you can clearly see bubbles coming out from the base of the pond. Surprising right? Yes, it is still a mystery for scientists. We are also going to visit this mysterious pond during our visit to the Kedarnath temple.

  • Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi: It is believed that Adi Shankaracharya re-established many temples in the Garhwal region during the 8th century, and finally visited the Kedarnath temple. He also helped in re-establishing the Kedarnath temple and then took samadhi near this temple. We are also going to visit Adi Shankaracharya’s samadhi during our visit to the Kedarnath temple.

Add-on Services In Delhi To Kedarnath Package

To make your journey smoother, safer, and personalised, we provide an abundance of add-on services. So that travellers can extend their tours according to their preferences.

Palki/Pitthu Service for Kedarnath trek

A 16 km trek towards the Kedarnath temple is physically demanding, but to make it easier, the Kedarnath Ghoda/Palki service is helpful for those who are unable to trek and can complete the yatra comfortably. These services are available from Gaurikund and are approved at fixed prices.

Helicopter Service for Kedarnath

Helicopter service for Kedarnath is one of the most demanding optional services provided by Heliyatra IRCTC, which operates from nearby helipads: Phata, Sirsi, and Guptkashi. It saves time and physical effort, ideal for senior citizens and time-bound travellers.

Also, tickets can be booked only through the official website of IRCTC Heliyatra, so it’s strongly advised to avoid unauthorised agents and not fall prey to any fishy website. You can refer to our article on the Kedarnath helicopter fraud, in which you can read about the ways helicopter fraud is going on.

We do provide helicopter ticket booking from the Heliyatra IRCTC website. You can contact our customer care executive on “87961 23073″ to include this service in your Kedarnath package from Delhi.

Kedarnath VIP Darshan

Kedarnath VIP darshan service is available to avoid long darshan queues and get faster entry to the shrine. Provided by the temple committee and book only through the official website or offline at the counters near the temple. If you wish, you can inform our guide, and he will take care of securing your slot well in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

Things To Consider Before Kedarnath Yatra From Delhi

Kedarnath Opening & Closing Dates 2026

Opening and closing dates of the Kedarnath temple are seasonal decisions made by the official temple committee based on astrological calculations and weather considerations. Below are the opening and closing dates of the Kedarnath temple in 2026.

  • Kedarnath opening date 2026: 22 April 2026
  • Kedarnath closing date 2026: 11 November 2026 (tentative)

For more details on this, check our guide on the Kedarnath Opening and Closing dates 2026.

Best Time To Visit Kedarnath

The best time to visit Kedarnath is from May to June for a pleasant experience, and from September to October for a peaceful darshan experience, as the weather during this time is pleasant and the temple is open for devotees.

If you are travelling with senior citizens or children, Monsoon (July to August) is not a recommended time to visit Kedarnath, as it experiences heavy rain, which makes the trails slippery and travel risky. The temple is closed in winter due to heavy snowfall and harsh weather.

Travel Options From Delhi To Kedarnath

You can easily reach Kedarnath by air, train, or road from Delhi, but the final stretch towards the temple involves travelling to the base point and then trekking to the temple. You can either travel by train, by road, or by flight.
