The Private Delhi to Kedarnath package allows travellers to customise their tours, aligning with their requirements. So they can have their desired experience throughout the journey.
Visitors can customise their services, including meals, stays, vehicles, destinations, and other facilities, according to their needs and preferences. We execute your trip with our local knowledge.
Both packages have their pros and cons. Let’s discuss them one by one so that you can select the perfect option for you.
If you have enough time, you can also plan a visit to the Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple. Check out the Do Dham Yatra Package page.
To make your journey smoother, safer, and personalised, we provide an abundance of add-on services. So that travellers can extend their tours according to their preferences.
A 16 km trek towards the Kedarnath temple is physically demanding, but to make it easier, the Kedarnath Ghoda/Palki service is helpful for those who are unable to trek and can complete the yatra comfortably. These services are available from Gaurikund and are approved at fixed prices.
Helicopter service for Kedarnath is one of the most demanding optional services provided by Heliyatra IRCTC, which operates from nearby helipads: Phata, Sirsi, and Guptkashi. It saves time and physical effort, ideal for senior citizens and time-bound travellers.
Also, tickets can be booked only through the official website of IRCTC Heliyatra, so it’s strongly advised to avoid unauthorised agents and not fall prey to any fishy website. You can refer to our article on the Kedarnath helicopter fraud, in which you can read about the ways helicopter fraud is going on.
We do provide helicopter ticket booking from the Heliyatra IRCTC website. You can contact our customer care executive on “87961 23073″ to include this service in your Kedarnath package from Delhi.
Kedarnath VIP darshan service is available to avoid long darshan queues and get faster entry to the shrine. Provided by the temple committee and book only through the official website or offline at the counters near the temple. If you wish, you can inform our guide, and he will take care of securing your slot well in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
Opening and closing dates of the Kedarnath temple are seasonal decisions made by the official temple committee based on astrological calculations and weather considerations. Below are the opening and closing dates of the Kedarnath temple in 2026.
For more details on this, check our guide on the Kedarnath Opening and Closing dates 2026.
The best time to visit Kedarnath is from May to June for a pleasant experience, and from September to October for a peaceful darshan experience, as the weather during this time is pleasant and the temple is open for devotees.
If you are travelling with senior citizens or children, Monsoon (July to August) is not a recommended time to visit Kedarnath, as it experiences heavy rain, which makes the trails slippery and travel risky. The temple is closed in winter due to heavy snowfall and harsh weather.
You can easily reach Kedarnath by air, train, or road from Delhi, but the final stretch towards the temple involves travelling to the base point and then trekking to the temple. You can either travel by train, by road, or by flight.
For more details, read our blog on the Delhi to Kedarnath travel guide.
Packing is crucial for the Kedarnath journey for a safe and stress-free yatra. Check the list of must-carry items for Kedarnath Yatra:
Note: Carrying cash is important for shopping, as there are many famous things to buy in Kedarnath, but online payments may not work due to poor network coverage.
In our Kedarnath package from Delhi, we provide a pick-up facility by a Volvo bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate at 11:00 PM. We advise travellers to arrive at the bus stop at least half an hour before departure and take their seats. While booking your group tour package from Delhi, you will get an option to opt between sleeper and semi-sleeper seats of Volvo AC buses.
Note:- Seats will be booked with reputed bus operators like Laxmi Holidays, Ram Dalal, Zingbus, etc. These companies work independently, and the Musafir resort team have no role in their operation. You can also suggest your preferred operator while booking.
If you are planning for a private or customised tour, you can opt for a Volvo AC bus or a direct private vehicle pickup from your doorstep.
Volvo bus will drop you at "Rishikul Parking" in Haridwar at around 3-4 AM. From there, you need to reach the Haridwar railway station at your own cost.
Tempo traveller will be waiting at Haridwar Railway station in front of the Lord Shiva idol. Be comfortable in your vehicle, and we will start our journey to Guptkashi at 5:00 a.m. In this segment, you will pass through the scenic mountain trails that offer great views of the Himalayas. Our first stop will be Devprayag Sangam, a beautiful place where you can witness the holy confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. This will be a short break of just 15 minutes, in which you can click some pictures and roam around to enjoy the beautiful view. In a group tour, going to the Sangam area is not possible due to time constraints, but you can visit the Sangam area if you are travelling in a private trip and you have time to explore.
Then, we will take a halt at the Dhari Devi temple to seek the blessing of the Char Dham guardian deity for a safe journey. It is located at a distance of just 48 Kms from Devprayag and will take around 1-2 hours to reach there. Here we will take a break of 30 minutes in which we will visit the beautiful Dhardevi temple.
The final break for tea and sightseeing will be at Rudraprayag, another major confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. It will also be a short break of just 15 minutes. We will click some pictures, and then we will head toward our beautiful Musafir Resort at Guptkashi.
You will reach there by late evening, where our team will greet you. Rooms will be allotted to all of you as per your room choice. In the evening, our guide will brief you about the next day's plan, with some bonfire, music and a fun session.
Enjoy your peaceful dinner and have a good sleep, as the next day, we cover another long part of the journey that involves a trek of around 20-22 km.
Today, we start early at 4:00 a.m. as we have to drive on a single-lane road from Guptkashi to Gaurikund, which receives heavy traffic during the peak season. The vehicle we provide you does not go beyond Sonprayag (the last accessible point for private vehicles). From there, our representative (guide) will arrange a shuttle taxi to the base camp, Gaurikund.
At Gaurikund, we will arrange your breakfast. After that, we will begin our 16 km trek, which, in reality, feels more like 20-22 km, toward the Kedarnath Temple. After completing the Kedarnath trek, it feels like you have achieved something in your life, one of the most rewarding parts of your journey.
Check into your hotel and take a rest. If time permits, attend an evening Aarti of Shri Kedarnath Temple. Have your dinner and get a good night's sleep.
Today is a very special day of your trip, as you are going to experience the moment you've been waiting for, so wake up early. Our guide will give you a wake-up call at 3:00 a.m.
Get ready and join the Darshan line. By joining early, you will most likely get Darshan from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
After getting darshan, we will proceed to cover nearby sightseeing, including Retas Kund, Bhairavnath Temple, Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, and Bhim Shila. After this, have your breakfast and start trekking down to Gaurikund by retracing the same route. Drive to Guptkashi and stay a night in the same Musafir resort. Enjoy your peaceful dinner.
Today we will start our journey early in the morning at 7:00 AM. It will take around 5-6 hours to reach Rishikesh. In this package, we also provide a complementary 12 Kms river rafting. If you wish, you can do river rafting, or else the bus will drop you off at Haridwar. From Haridwar, we will book your return bus as per the timing of your arrival.
If you are joining river rafting, your return bus will be booked from Rishikesh, and your boarding point will be at the Nepali farm in Rishikesh.
Note:- From Tapovan to Nepali farm, you have to make your own arrangements.
We will reach New Delhi early in the morning, where our trip will come to an end with some beautiful memories and a promise to meet you again on some other trip with some other strangers.
