Kedarkantha Trek Package Cost

The Kedarkantha trek package price starts from ₹4,999 + 5% GST only, from Dehradun to Dehradun, including all the permits, a professional trek guide, fresh meals, comfortable stays, vehicles, trekking accessories like crampons and gaiters, and many more. In one group, there will be not more than 16 trekkers

You can also avail pickup from Delhi. From Delhi, we will provide you with a booking in a Volvo AC sleeper or semi-sleeper bus as per your booking preferences. The price for the Kedarkantha trek package from Delhi in a semi-sleeper bus will start from INR 6,499 per person, and for the sleeper, the price will start from INR 7,499 per person. Kedarkantha Trek Package From Delhi

For trekkers joining the Kedarkantha trek Package from Delhi,  we provide pickup by a Volvo Bus from Delhi ISBT Kashmiri Gate. 

 

The cost of a bus ticket depends on your bus type; for a semi-sleeper, it is around ₹1,600 per person, and for a sleeper seat, it is ₹2,600 per person for a round trip (Delhi to Delhi) and will be added to your package.

 

A bus from Delhi will drop you off in Dehradun around 5:00 AM. Your trip will go as per the Itinerary. 

 

Now we talk about staying. On the last day, when we drop you off in Dehradun around 10-11 PM, you can choose to stay in Dehradun; the price will be added to your final package cost.

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri Village (Road Journey)

  Your journey towards Kedarkantha (Queen of winter treks) starts from Dehradun, with a pickup from Clock Tower in Dehradun around 6:00 AM to 6:30 AM. We request that all participants reach the pickup location on time.   

From there, we head towards Sankri village by an 8-9-hour road journey. You will pass through scenic winding roads and lush green peaks.   

The vehicle will stop for breakfast and lunch at local eateries on the route. We also cover some scenic viewpoints, Mussorie (a serene hill station), Purola (famous for its apple orchards), Mori, and Naitwar.   

On your way to Sankari, you will be passing through the pine trees lining the road, and as you enter the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, the views get more dramatic.   

We will reach Sankari by late evening, where you will stay in a guest house. Our guide will take you to the stay. Check into your rooms and get refreshed.  

Later, attend a briefing session organised by our guide. He will brief you on the next day's trek plan, when we will start, and how to trek comfortably, and he will also suggest some tips and tricks to avoid any problems.  

After the briefing session at night, you will have dinner at your stay. Enjoy your comforting meal and rest in your rooms.

Day 2: Sankri village to Juda Ka Talab

  Today, we start early after a nourishing breakfast at the same hotel in Sankri Village. After breakfast, we will proceed on a trek. Firstly, we will trek to Juda Ka Talab, an alpine crystal lake.   

It is located around 4-5 km from Sankri and sits at an altitude of 9,100 feet. As you start the trek from the base village, you walk along a stream and head toward the pine forest and oak trees.   

As you trek 2-3 km, the trail will be broader and gradually ascend. During the winter, it is completely covered with snow. You require stamina and proper gear for trekking   On the trekking route, you will spot the Himalayan langur. You can capture them while they climb from one tree to another.  

After hours of trekking, you will finally reach the campsite for the day near Juda Ka Talab. As you reach there, you will see a completely frozen lake. In the lap of the Himalayas and snowy landscapes, the lake feels surreal.  

You will get your lunch there in your tents. After lunch, you can capture the picturesque beauty of the site and get some rest for some time in your camp. Our cook will serve you hot soup or tea in the evening; enjoy it.  

At night, if the weather permits, we set a bonfire with music arranged, offering a profound experience of adventure and opportunity for stargazing in a camp under the starry sky   As your dinner will be prepared by the cook, enjoy it at the campsite and rest in your tents.  

Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp

  We will start our day early with a hot and nourishing breakfast and a short briefing session. Today, we will proceed to Kedarkantha Base Camp  

Ensure that you have your water bottle filled to maintain hydration, and you wear all essential safety gear and proper clothes for the snowy winters.  

The trail opens into meadows and gradually becomes steep and challenging, demanding stamina and strong legs.   

As you trek up, you will witness massive views of snowy peaks. We will reach our campsite by afternoon. We will stay here in a camp. At the Kedarkantha base camp, you can enjoy the views of the Mt. Bandarpoonch and Swargrohini peaks  

Our team will serve you a freshly cooked lunch; enjoy it in your tents. The base site is also a perfect spot for meditation and finding inner peace, so you can also spend some time with yourself by getting cut from the crew.   

In the evening, our cook will serve you some snacks, then our trek guide will arrange a brief session, which is a must to attend by every trekker, explaining the next day's plan, when we start, how to trek on the final stretch, etc.   

Dinner will be served early so that you can rest properly for the next day's trek and adventurous experience. After dinner, get proper rest in your tent.  

Day 4: Base Camp to Kedarkantha Summit peak & Return to Base Camp

  • Stay: Campsite (Kedarkantha Base Camp)

  Today is the most-awaited moment for our trek journey, as you are going to witness the moment you have been calling for. We will start trekking around 2-3 AM under the lit sky from Kedarkantha base camp to Kedarkantha summit.  

We provide you with a light snack and tea in cold weather to head towards the trek. Switch your headlamp on and start your ascent.    

As you come closer to the summit, the trails get steeper, and the views become more attractive. After reaching there, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise with snow-capped peaks. It gives you a deep sense of accomplishment and inner peace that cannot be defined in words. We spend some time here; you can immerse yourself in the alpine beauty of the site and capture views.    After soaking in nature, we will begin descending to the base camp. The descent journey is easy and takes less time.   

You will reach base camp by late afternoon; we will stay here overnight, and our cook will serve you lunch. You can get a unique experience of staying in the high mountains, where you can witness the small huts of local shepherds.  

After enjoying the tranquil environment. You can rest in your tent and enjoy your dinner served by our cook. After dinner, enjoy a peaceful sleep in your tents.   Note: You can also customise your meals to non-veg options at an additional cost of ₹200 per person.

Day 5: Base camp to Sankari & Drive back to Dehradun

  On day 5, we will start our return journey to Dehradun at 6:00 AM. After breakfast at the campsite, we start trekking down to Sankri village, which generally takes 4-5 hours  

At Sankri, the same vehicle will pick you up for your return journey to Dehradun. On this route segment, you can enjoy a glimpse of the Himalayan peaks one last time.   

We will take a short break for lunch and an evening tea break during our long road journey. It may take roughly 8-9 hours, depending on traffic. We will drop you off at Dehradun’s Clock Tower by 11:00 PM.   Here your trip will end with beautiful memories.

Can I do Kedarkantha trek alone?

Well, we do not recommend going solo on the Kedarkantha trek for safety reasons. For solo travelers or backpackers, we suggest joining a group, as it would be a great experience and safe with a dedicated trek leader and support team.
